Medopharm was founded over 4 decades ago (15th January 1970) by the visionary Late Shri Mohanmulji Chordia, an eminent social worker, educationist, philanthropist, and a recipient of the Padma Shri Award, one of the country’s highest civilian awards conferred for distinguished service in any field.

His vision was to provide quality medicines at an affordable price. In the beginning, the company manufactured Chloramphenicol and tetracycline capsules. Today, the company manufactures over 100 products and has grown multifold with an annual turnover of US$28 million, earning the trust to become one of the most respected pharmaceutical companies in India and abroad. The company has 541 permanent employees throughout India and abroad.
